Secondary raw material production in Teräsmäki
LY produces PE-LLD, PE and PP plastic films and wraps, PE-HD canister plastics as well as cardboard, carton, paper and different sorts of metals for the secondary raw material market. Recovered aggregate is also available for civil engineering.
Our production methods permit plastic waste to be used as a raw material for the industry. Recycled plastic is used in wraps, sheets, pipes, bottle preforms, flowerpots and microfleece. Recovered paper and cardboard is baled and shipped as raw material for recycling. Metal waste is sorted and reused to make new metal products. Recycled wood packaging is utilized to make new packaging, used in landscaping or serves as raw material for wood boards. Glass and crushed aggregate, tiles and concrete can replace virgin raw materials in base construction.
